2007/2008 Sierra Ski Chase Standings
This is a low key racing series, where participation is more important than winning. In order to promote this concept, we put all the good raffle prizes into the raffle so that everybody who completes the minimum requirement of 5 races has an even chance in winning. The Fischer Cup is a six race series that offers a $200 CASH prize for the 'Fastest' man and woman in the division, a pair of SWIX TEAM poles for second and SWIX CERA-F wax for third. There are no age classes. The first man and women in each race get 30 points, second gets 29 down to 1 point for 30th place. (Exceptions made for Great Ski Race and Gold Rush). Points are scored allowing racers to "drop" one of the first 5 races (the Gold Rush points are not "droppable").

There are only a few races and events that generate all of our income. If you are going to race please attend a fundraiser. The proceeds go to supporting Junior, Senior and Master cross country skiing in the division.

November , 2008, Wine Tasting, Raffle and Auction. THE cross country ski social event of the season. Not only is everyone there but there is good wine and a great raffle and auction. Come see what the auctioneer is wearing THIS year!

December , 2008 - Paco's Far West Fun-D Raiser at Auburn Ski Club. Paco's Truckee Bike and Ski provides the great prizes and Far West Nordic juniors benefit.

January , 2009 - Tahoe Rim Race & Tour. All proceeds from this race go to the Far West Nordic and Auburn Ski Club Junior Skier programs.

March 22, 2009 - California Gold/Silver/Bronze Rush. This nationally-famous race draws the best racers from all over the US for the conclusion of the American Ski Marathon Series. This event has 3 distances, 42 Km (Gold Rush), 21 Km (Silver Rush), 10 km. (Bronze Rush). And a great party afterwards!
