What do I get for my membership?

Ski Area Discounts

The following are the discounts for adults that were available in 2007/2008. All that’s required to take advantage of these discounts is your Far West Nordic Membership card and a sincere thank you.

Newsletters

You will get 3-4 general newsletters, including our large format 4-color Annual Newsletter. The articles include how to train, review of resorts and the all important Race Schedule. Besides the articles, important dates are announced to members first.

Sierra Ski Chase

You are eligible for entry into the Sierra Ski Chase. Race 5 races and get a cool T-shirt - FREE and you are entered into a raffle for some great prizes. This event is age handicapped so there is no reason not to jump in the fun. You must sign-up for the Ski Chase at one of the first 4 events of the season.

Masters' Clinics and Junior Camps Eligibility

By being a member of Far West Nordic, you are eligible to attend one of our many Clinics, Camps, and Trips for both Junior racers and Master skiers.

Support Junior, Senior, and Master Nordic Skiers

Although a lot of our energy and money goes into developing all the juniors of our division, we strive to create opportunities for older skiers (20 and over) to continue to excel in the sport. Read the Junior Program for an listing of events and races your support provides both Juniors and Seniors (20 to 30 year olds), and the Masters Program page for information for skiers 30 and older.

What does membership cost?

$20 for individuals
$35 for Family (2 or more people at the same address -- Dependents must be under age of 20)
$10 for Junior Individuals

I am not sure I want to be a member, where do I get more information?

Contact the Far West Office. They handle memberships and can answer almost any question. If you don't want to call or email, you can show up to a race - most of the Board are active racers or parents of active racers. Introduce yourself and ask questions. We all love cross country skiing and are eager to help.
