WESTERN REGIONAL ELITE GROUP CAMP
Park City, Utah | June 22 through 29th, 2008

JUNE LAKE CAMP
June Lake, Eastern Sierra | July 17-20, 2008
(Signups must be received by July 10, 2008)
Far West Nordic will again be hosting its traditional "All-Comers" summer Nordic training camp at June Lake, California, in the beautiful Eastern Sierra Nevada. This camp is designed for learning dry-land and ski training techniques, and will be led by ex-Olympian/National Champion Nancy Fiddler and ASC Head Coach/USST World Cup Coach Ben Grasseschi, among others. We will be camping out at the campsites at June Lake, and activities include Roller Skiing, Running, and Hiking. One day is usually spent on an all-day hike/climb to a beautiful Sierra peak. All food is provided as part of camp fees, and participants will be expected to help out with food preparation and clean-up. Signups will be limited.
Who Can Come? This Camp is open to any Far West Junior Skier 13 years old or older who is serious about nordic ski racing. Athletes of all experience AND ages are invited and a great time is guaranteed.
Cost: To Be Announced
Trip cost will include all transportation, meals, and camping fees. Athletes should bring a small amount of extra cash for incidentals.
Travel: By van, leaving on Thursday the 17th and returning by late-afternoon on Sunday the 20th.

MARIN HEADLANDS TRAINING CAMP
Marin Headlands Hostel | August 12-15, 2008
(Signups must be received by July 30, 2008)
Far West Nordic trumpets the return of the high level MARIN HEADLANDS CAMP for advanced athletes (JUNIOR OLYMPIC-QUALIFIED SKIERS or AUBURN SKI CLUB COMPETITION TEAM MEMBERS ONLY!). We will be staying at the beautiful Marin Headlands Hostel, and will do intensive training, including some long hikes, some rollerskiing on exceptional roads, and other great adventures. It is perfect for low-altitude, high-intensity training! All food is provided as part of camp fees, and participants will be expected to help out with food preparation and clean-up. Signups are limited so register soon.
Who Can Come? JO-qualified or ASC Comp Team skiers only who want to train HARD at a high-intensity camp on the California coast. Space will be extremely limited! Sign Up Early, when available!

LAKE TAHOE TRAINING CAMP
BLISS STATE PARK, LAKE TAHOE | AUGUST 29-31, 2008
(Signups must be received by August 22, 2008)
Far West Nordic will once again by hosting a Development Skier-oriented camp over Labor Day Weekend, for younger nordic skiers looking to get a head-start on training for the 2008-2009 race season, or older skiers just wanting to have a great time training at Lake Tahoe. Any ability is welcome, but athletes are encouraged to be in good enough shape to be able to run and hike for moderate distances. Kayaking, Hiking, Swimming, Ski Technique and more are scheduled for activities. All food is provided as part of camp fees, and participants will be expected to help out with food preparation and clean-up.
Who Can Come? Any ability or age of skier (12 or older) who wants to learn training techniques with other nordic skiers in a beautiful and fun Sierra environment. Space is Limited! Sign Up Soon!

VIRGINIA LAKES CAMP
Virginia Lakes, Eastern Sierra | DATES: September 26-28, 2008

This will be a fun, challenging camp with hard rollerskiing and a long hike. There might be a little climbing if time permits as well. Signups will be limited.
Who Can Come? This Camp is open to Junior Olympic-qualified athletes and ASC Competition Team Members who have shown aptitude through Attendance, Attitude, and Athleticism, basd on Coaches' discretion/invitation.
Trip cost will include all transportation, meals, and camping fees. Athletes should bring a small amount of extra cash for incidentals. We will be camping out but have the use of the Quinlan/Tiernan Family cabin.
Travel: By van from Truckee.

SENIOR TRAINING CAMP

A camp specifically designed for older juniors, college-age athletes, and Senior division racers (20-29). Come train with your peers in the beautiful Northern Sierra in the town of Taylorsville. Hiking, Biking, Roller Skiing and more.

Cost of the camp will include lodging, food, and coaching.
Travel: By Personal Vehicle. Arrival/Departure details will be announced.

Far West Nordic Camps are limited. YOU MUST BE A FAR WEST NORDIC MEMBER TO ATTEND! Sign-up as soon as possible. SIGNUPS MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN ONE WEEK PRIOR TO CAMP DATES, unless otherwise stated!
Cost includes all applicable food, coaches and camping/lodging fees. Go to our CAMP SIGNUP PAGE or download the CAMP APPLICATION (when available) and send in your money A.S.A.P.!
If you want to go to a camp follow these steps:
1) Convince your parents that you must attend. You can use the following reasons:
- The camps are INEXPENSIVE.
- They are high quality - the best coaches in the country run them.
- You will learn how to train during the offseason to build your endurance and strength as well as refine your technique.
- You will build your confidence. You will be training with the best junior skiers in the West.
- You will meet other athletes your age that are interested in cross country skiing.
- You will learn responsible behavior, like doing the dishes, taking out the garbage, etc.
- You will have a lot of fun.
2) Go to our CAMP SIGN-UP PAGE or Print a copy of the CAMP APPLICATION and fill it in. Either pay on-line or mail the Registration Form, Releases and Payment to:

3) Print a copy of the 3 Page Medical Release, Waiver & Release Form, and Code of Conduct Acrobat pdf file and fill them in. Make sure you fill in ALL the blanks. Mail these forms to the address above.
