Welcome to the 2009 Cross Country Ski Junior National Championships, hosted by Auburn Ski Club and the Far West Nordic Ski Education Association.
The organizing committee of the 2009 Junior Nationals is excited to present our first round of information to the team leaders. Our planning process has been underway for months and is rapidly taking shape. In the next few months our event website will begin to fill up with additional information to help you plan your 2009 JN trip. Needless to say the entire Nordic community here is excited to be hosting again. We hope this information will help get you started in the planning process. A GREEN Junior Nationals:
The 2009 XC Junior Nationals believes as skiers we have a responsibility to protect our most important winter resource, snow. A new goal for our 2009 JN’s will be to improve the event’s environmental impact. Nick Sterling, a former Far West Nordic Junior Olympian, will be spearheading the effort.
