VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT: Indicate for us the level of time you can provide for the event:
SUB-COMMITTEES: These volunteer will work to plan and execute different parts of the event, planning over the summer and daily throughout the event.
CORE-COMPETITION CREW: This group will be on the snow in the stadium and course on event and official training days. Includes crowd control, course maintenance, technique control, back-up timing. Time commitment is for the event week.
RACE DAY CREW: Sign up here if you can provide a day or two during the set-up and event week. For most of these tasks training can be provided on the assigned day, also includes general venue chores such as shoveling, parking, clean-up, etc.
NON COMPETITION EVENTS: This is a daytime and evening commitment. away from the venue for awards, banquets, opening ceremonies, etc.
UNDECIDED: I just don’t know at this point but sign me up and contact me.
GENERAL PREFERENCES: Give us an idea what type of role you prefer. Number them with #1 being your first priority, leave blank if any of these are not of any interest. You can have more than one #1 choice if the times don’t conflict.
Venue: set-up the week prior the event week
Stadium: on-snow, early set-up, crowd control, start and finish line, clothing drop, banners, post race clean-up
Course: early set-up on skis, course maintenance, credential control, technique control
Race administration: data entry, bibs, results, general office duties, staffing race headquarters
Timing and calculations: Backup timing, start and finish line, bib sequencing, athlete line-up, finish line camera’s
Medical: staff aid center, on-course first aid, finish line aid, Doctors, EMT’s, Nurses and ski patrollers
Announcing: race day announcing, organizing athlete bio’s, etc.
Awards and presentations: design, order, conduct awards presentations
Merchandising: selection and ordering of product, on-site sales of t-shirts, posters, athlete/coaches gift bag.
Parking: early set-up and parking, controlling access to waxing village
Volunteer center: staffing center, organizing day-of crew assignments, volunteer support
IT: assisting with computers, website, webcam
On-site food service: set-up, staffing, ordering and preparing
Media: assisting with press releases, sponsor relations
Sunday afternoon opening ceremony
Wednesday evening awards and athlete social
Saturday night awards banquet, athletes party, entertainment
Sponsorships: Marketing and selling the event to sponsors
